My name is Jim and have been a musician since in 1976. I have played everything from cello, guitar and bass.
When I bought my first electric guitar when I was 18 years old, I had to know how it worked. So, being the tinkerer that I was, I took the guitar apart and learned everything I could. I soon bought replacement parts and made the guitar the way I wanted. I bought a different body, new neck and replacement pickups and made my first "kit" guitar. It was from that guitar that I started to learn the basic set-up and maintenance of guitars.
Soon I had friends asking for repair work or set their guitars up to their playing style.
I truly enjoy working on guitars and basses and treat every one of them as if they were my own.
While repairing guitars and basses in Southern California, I had the opportunity and privilege to work on a wide variety of guitars and basses owned by professionals in the business.
I am now located in Roseburg, Oregon and look forward to the next chapter.
Please, give me a call if you need any type of guitar service or if you just have a question. I look forward to bringing your guitar to it's fullest potential.
